I have been going through some "stuff,"
and came across some of the things I
have written (many of which were several
years ago). Here is a poem with
perspective on friendship.
On Friendship
by Elizabeth Alraune
Each person has his own route to take
but when it crosses another
it is no mistake.
Our lives cross
and straighten
through various terrains.
Our lives together,
apart, know the strains.
In friendships
tried and true
the silences we
should never rue.
Days, months, or years
go by
but we always
come back to
saying "hi."
